AFFXWRKS (often stylised AFFIX) was founded in 2018 in London by Kiko Kostadinov and his partners Stephen Mann and Taro Ray, with Tim Heyduk subsequently joining as design director. The brand's foundational thesis was specific: produce a more accessible, technically-anchored streetwear line as a sibling project to Kostadinov's eponymous main-line womenswear collection, with a clear focus on workwear-derived silhouettes, technical fabrics, and a recognisable bilingual (English/Japanese) graphic language. The AFFXWRKS vocabulary settled around several recurring products: the Crinkle Service nylon jacket and pants, the Curve Sleeve technical T-shirt, the Repair Pant (a workwear-derived double-knee trouser in Japanese ripstop), the Boa Vest, and the brand's signature mountain-graphic and SERVICE workshop typography. Collaborations with New Balance (the 580 and the 1906R), Reebok, Sandqvist, and Vans extended the brand's reach into the broader streetwear-collector conversation. The brand is independent and held by Kostadinov, Mann, and Ray. AFFXWRKS operates a flagship in London (the Service Works space in Hackney) plus international wholesale through SSENSE, GR8, Dover Street Market, MATCHES, and a curated set of Asian and European retailers. Few London brands of the late 2010s have built such a focused technical-streetwear vocabulary while operating as a clear sibling project to a runway main-line.
