Huffer
New Zealand's longest-running streetwear institution started in 1997 when snowboarder Steve Dunstan and skateboarding design student Daniel Buckley wanted board-sports clothes built for alpine conditions that didn't exist locally. The two reinvested everything, working weekend jobs to keep Huffer alive, and turned puffer jackets, hoodies and graphic tees into a national wardrobe. Buckley exited in 2012; Dunstan has continued to scale Huffer to roughly a dozen own-brand stores across NZ and Australia, making it the country's defining homegrown streetwear label at twenty-five years and counting.
