Founded in 2017, Fyne Audio is a relatively new Scottish hi-fi manufacturer that specializes in high-end loudspeakers. Its models can range from a few hundred bucks with its entry-level F300i bookshelf speakers, to over $50K with its flagship F1-12S floor-standing speakers.
While the company has primarily focused on passive speaker systems, designed for traditional stereo and home theater applications, it’s now taking its first genuine swing at wireless hi-fi with its first active speaker system.
And, surprisingly, it’s relatively affordable.
Fyne Audio Cubitt 5

Its first active speaker system
The Cubitt 5 is the company’s first active speaker system. It’s comprised of two bookshelf-sized speakers, with the primary one housing the amplification, digital signal processing and wired connections.
This means that, unlike larger, more high-end active speaker systems, like KEF’s LS50 Wireless II, only one of the speakers needs to be plugged into power.
