Blue Salon

Abu Issa Holding launched Blue Salon in 1981, a decade after Qatari independence, as the country's first attempt at a full luxury department store. Forty-four years on, the Al Sadd headquarters carries more than 500 international luxury brands across women, men, footwear, lingerie, accessories, niche perfumery, premium skincare, makeup, chocolates, Arabic sweets, coffee, tableware and home furnishings, and the group itself runs more than a hundred retail outlets and concept stores in Qatar including Highland, Mosafer and Arabesq. Blue Salon is the institution against which every newer entrant to Qatari luxury retail - from Printemps Doha to Place Vendôme - is measured.
