Hind Al Ghanim opened Pattern in 2017 in the Sulaymaniyah district as part shop, part workshop, part hangout for a creative scene that did not yet have a physical centre in Riyadh. The two-storey glass space lit by a large central tree carries more than fifty Saudi designer labels - Qormuz, Luda Jewelry, Agora Perfumes, Sands - alongside international names like Alberta Ferretti and Tibi. Pattern has hosted some of the first sit-down designer talks of Riyadh's new fashion economy and now runs a regular pop-up at AlUla. Almost a decade later it is still the address Saudi creatives quote first when asked where to find local talent.
