IENKI IENKI
IENKI IENKI was founded in 2015 in Kyiv, Ukraine by Dima Levchuk and his sister Eva Levchuk as a contemporary down-jacket-specialist brand specifically focused on architectural-silhouette outerwear at the intersection of Eastern European utilitarian-design tradition and contemporary luxury-fashion proportions. The brand's foundational thesis was specific: produce technically-engineered, sculpturally-proportioned down jackets — over-sized hooded parkas, deliberately exaggerated stand-collar puffers, layered down-and-shell hybrids — at a luxury-contemporary €1,500-€3,500 price tier.
The IENKI IENKI vocabulary settled around several specific products: the iconic Dunno Tinta Unica (the brand's defining oversized hooded down parka, in shifting seasonal colour combinations), the Big Puffa (a deliberately exaggerated stand-collar puffer), the Stripe (a horizontal-channel quilted jacket), and a colour palette that runs from saturated red, yellow, and orange to muted black, navy, and olive. Production has remained in Ukraine despite the post-2022 war, with the brand maintaining its Kyiv workshop and shifting parts of the manufacturing to backup European facilities for resilience.
The brand is independent and held by the Levchuk siblings. IENKI IENKI operates with no permanent retail of its own, distributing through SSENSE, MR PORTER, MATCHES, Mytheresa, Lane Crawford, Antonioli, and a small set of carefully chosen luxury specialty retailers globally. The brand has presented capsule collections in Paris during fashion week and has become a quiet cult-product for the architectural-outerwear-collector audience. Few Eastern European brands of the post-2015 generation have built such a culturally coherent technical-down-jacket vocabulary while maintaining the operational resilience to continue post-2022.
