Founder
Sindiso Khumalo
Trained as an architect at UCT and in textiles at Central Saint Martins, Sindiso Khumalo founded her Cape Town label to plot Black women's history onto cloth. Each collection draws a historical figure — abolitionist Harriet Tubman, Mozambican freedom fighter Josina Machel — rendered through hand-block prints, raffia and organic cotton stitched by South African artisans. An LVMH Prize finalist in 2020 and an IKEA collaborator, her work hangs in the Smithsonian.
