Zeus + Dione
Founded in Athens in 2012 during Greece's worst post-war economic chapter, Zeus + Dione was conceived as both a fashion house and a rescue mission for endangered Greek crafts. Co-founders Mareva Grabowski-Mitsotakis (now Greece's first lady) and Dimitra Kolotoura partner with silk weavers in Soufli, embroiderers in Metsovo and Athenian silversmiths to translate ancient geometries into resortwear, kaftans and tailoring. Named for Aphrodite's parents, the label has become Greece's leading luxury export and a textbook case of craft-led nation-branding.
