Rustan's

Established in 1952 by spouses Benny and Gliceria 'Glecy' Tantoco, Rustan's grew out of a small Quiapo curio shop into the Philippines' flagship luxury department-store chain. The Makati branch on Ayala Avenue opened in 1970 in the famous blue-tiled 'Jewel Box' building and remains the family business' nerve centre; further flagships followed in Shangri-La Plaza, Alabang Town Center and Cebu's Ayala Center. Rustan's is the local concessionaire for Cartier, Tiffany, Mikimoto, Zegna, Hermes accessories and dozens of other houses, while its in-house Studio Artesan program champions Filipino designers including Rajo Laurel and Lulu Tan-Gan. Sister brand Adora, launched in 2008 inside the same group, extends the luxury offer with Valentino, Chloe and Rimowa monobrands.
