Established in 2000 in Mexico City, Carla Fernández is a couture house dedicated to preserving and renewing the textile legacy of Mexico's indigenous and mestizo communities. Through her travelling Taller Flora studio, Fernández collaborates with artisan cooperatives in Oaxaca, Chiapas, Puebla, Michoacán and beyond, translating geometric pre-Hispanic patterning into abstract, contemporary silhouettes built on the square. The brand has been exhibited at the Denver Art Museum and Hammer Museum, and Fernández is widely recognised as a leader of ethical luxury in Latin America.
