Emerging Independent
Elhaus
Launched in Jakarta in 2010 by founder and art director Raven Navarro, Elhaus reads Americana through an Indonesian lens, producing selvedge denim, workwear shirting and outerwear with the same obsessive construction standards as the Japanese repro scene. The label is one of the few in the world weaving its own denim in-house, and seasonal collections lean more conceptual than the timeless-core orthodoxy of Western raw denim. Stocked across Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan and the UK, Elhaus is among the small handful of Indonesian brands to receive coverage from Heddels, Gear Patrol and Hypebeast, and remains a touchstone for Jakarta's denim-heavy streetwear circuit.
